Hailing from the shores of sunny Bournemouth in the UK, ‘I Number Six’ is the
final form of an indie artist who has mutated many times over the years. On an odyssey that
has seen him haunt London, Cardiff, Hamburg, Oslo and Vienna, he has transmutated
severe alcoholism and mental-health struggles into musical gold that serves to ground him
and keep him connected to a world he has previously felt alienated from.

Having originally come up through the folk scene, echoes of his musical past can be heard in
his current music which is personal, poetic and yet sometimes surreal and abstract, with an
electric guitar and rhythmic bass and drums underpinning and accentuating his unique vocal
delivery and oftentimes strange synth sounds creating harmonic and haunting background
layers.

The vast majority of his process is pure DIY from the writing, recording, production and
mixing all the way up to the release and marketing. His music very subtly incorporates
influences from a lifetime of passionate music collecting from the acid-tinged musings of Syd
Barret and the abstract poetry of Dylan through dancehall reggae, Oi, post-punk and metal
to the early 90s UK and U.S. indie scenes.
